We spent 6 weeks in Australia at the end of 2023 & into January this year, mainly visiting family, but also touring to different places, mainly in Queensland. We also added a few days in Sydney. The amount of bird life was incredible, and heaven for a wildlife photographer. Although this wasn’t a wildlife watching holiday as such, I still managed to see 180 different species.
Before we set off I had a list in my head of some of the birds I really couldn’t miss. Within 3 days of arriving I’d seen 2 of the top 3 on that list!!
